Avery Creek is a census-designated place in Buncombe County, North Carolina with a population of 1,950 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Asheville Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Avery Creek Falls – Avery Creek Falls is a pretty and photogenic waterfall, located off of FR477 near Brevard, NC in Pisgah National Forest. The hike to Avery Creek Falls is only 0.5 miles from the parking area, and this is one of 3 waterfalls you can see on a longer 3.mile roundtrip hike out Avery Creek Trail.

West Asheville Library – West Asheville is minutes away from Avery Creek. The West Asheville Library originally opened 1953, but moved to its current site in 1997. Like all the county libraries, if we don’t have the book you’re looking for, you can always special order it from any of the libraries across Buncombe County to our branch for your convenience.

White Pine South Group Camp – White Pine South Group Camp is one of two group campsites nestled along Avery Creek in the lush forests of the Appalachian Mountains. The facility provides tent camping year-round and can accommodate families, scout troops and other groups of up to 25 people.
